jackie benson is live in the northwest with more for a search for the suspect. what are you hearing? a man was found lying on the ground about 2:00 a.m. here in the 1400 block of v streets northwest. now what police tell us is that he was shot in the torso, but his injuries are described as nonlife-threatening. now no one reported hearing the gunshots which is somewhat unusual given how many people are generally walking up and down in this area even at 2:00 in the morning. and it is not clear, whether the victim has been able to provide detectives with any information about what happened or any type of extensive description of the person who shot him. police are looking for help and information back to you. >> thanks, jackie. >> a teenager is being treated at johns hopkins tonight. all because he was doing something dangerous in ocean city. police say the 14-year-old was riding a skateboard thursday while hanging onto the back of a moving car. lost his footing and fell off the skateboard. that boy was hurt so badly he's now in critical condition. >>> blue lives

news4's jackie benson has reaction from the kiddie academy in foggy bottom. >> reporter: the allegations outlined in the court documents are ugly. a 35-year-old child care provider claudia roll dan of rockville, has been charged with physically abusing two babies in her care at the kiddie academy of d.c. west end, located in an office building on 25th street northwest. according to charging documents, one of the children was just three months old. in may, a doctor who examined that child found 12 separate bruises on the infant's back left arm and both thighs that appeared to have been caused by blunt force or compressive force. a police investigation began detectives examined video camera footage and spoke to a witness who said she had even roll dan pinch other infants. we spoke to parents none wanted to appear on camera who said they were drawn to the facility because of its security measures including video cameras and daily e-mail reports. >> i just think it's the most important thing in the world for your kids to be safe. who knows how many sleepless nights you spend worrying about t
