let's check in with jackie jeras.re in atlanta it was incredibly windy. >> and now it all has moved into the northeast part of the country and it's blowing over the warmer great lakes. so we're seeing the lake-effect snow. so lots of snow shower activity. it's moving so fast that the accumulations will stay down a little bit today on the range of maybe 2 to 6 inches. but look at the wind advisories which remain in effect from new england all the way down through the appalachians. and gusts will be as strong as even 60 miles per hour at times. it's causing lots of problems at the airport. these delays all because of wind. more than 2 1/2 hours here at newark and washington dulles about an hour and a half. look at some of the current wind gusts. 24 miles per hour new york city, 52 in boston. 32 up in portland. so some wind damage will be expected. larger tree limbs could come down and it could cause spotty power outages. today is not the day to have the lawn furniture out or garbage cans out. also very windy across the
