jackie sissel is there with the latest. the >>jackie: good morning. you can see workers from the department of public works loading up another garbage cans. that is the fourth garbage trucks i have seen being loaded in the last hour or so. here is video that i shot about 35 minutes ago. you can see dozens of workers cleaning up the trash. the police chief called this an environmental hazard. he said he thought it would take a while for them to get out there and clean up everything. everyone's personal belongings were moved into a pile. as i said, there were at least for full-size garbage trucks and a multiple flatbeds taken in to remove all of the debris that has accumulated over the last two months or so. as i said, they will not let anyone in the closet for a while. they thought it would take at least a day for them to get everything cleaned up. i am right on the embarcadero. right over here is this very building. about 15-20 minutes ago, the first series will start coming if and there will be hundreds, if not thousands of commuters trying to get in

jackie sissel has been watching that operations. >> you can see workers for the dpw with their power washers, i am on the embarcadero side of the protests. darya, this is video that was shot not too long ago. you can see dozens of workers from the department of public works tearing down the fence. now, you can see what the clause cell looks like after dozens of tents or taken down. you can see them throwing leftover debris into multiple garbage trucks. i would guess somewhere between five and seven of those. they have flat bed trucks to take away the debris that has accumulated. this was considered a public health hazard according to the chiefs, he estimates that it will be a while before is safe for people to be back out here. there are multiple things going on, there is only one lane of traffic here on the embarcadero. there are trucks and buses back up here. the commuters coming off of the ferry building, we had about 100 or so of them walking through the plaza. there are still 20-25 protesters in the clause that right now that have come back over there. as those commuters were co
