that kind of made that old dry system right through here from tampa to jacksonville, then the rain movesfrom here. it is going to be a big rain maker, even for the northeast. even for washington, d.c. although it's moving at 50 miles per hour, this wind speed right there, the forward speed is still only 15 miles per hour as it travels up toward the d.c. area. there's the numbers, you want to put those in the computer and see where it is. this again is the story. here's the forecast precipitation for this storm. it is going to continue to move on up toward the northeast. the rain, two to four inches from atlanta southward, charleston, but you get up into the mountains, and where's the worst place you could get rain? in the mountains. the mountains will start to run all that water off, three to five inches, maybe up to six inches in some spots west of washington, d.c., two to four even for new york city. the problem is these are areas that are already saturated. there's enough rain here already. you start to get a wind of 30, 40 miles per hour, some of these trees are just going to become

you've got flights in and out of miami, up to tampa bay, even ex-tending into jacksonville. you want to watch out for this. not uncommon to see lightning storms here in the florida peninsula. but the problem, this is going to be slow moving and it will be dropping a lot of rainfall. some areas the next 72 hours could see about 200 millimeters of rain. pooling up with that water especially in low-lying areas along the roads. don't try to drive through it. very well you could get stuck up in it. as far as temperatures, miami with a high of 28. oklahoma city at 29. much of the desert southwest, you've just been baking in the heat. los angeles at 23. but a little farther inland, getting into the high 20s. about 10 to 15 degrees above average for this time of year out here. but let's take a look at europe. well, this tells the picture out here. much, much clearer skies for the most part. we do have the remnants of the upper-level low which has just been cut off and sitting here in and across central and eastern europe. still expecting about 40 millimeters, maybe up to 60 millimet

i did get the most recent update from the national hurricane center and it's 40 miles west of jacksonvillends are down 45. wind is not going to be the big story. the rain is that's for sure. the rain today mainly inspired by a frontal boundary out to our west and that's going to be pushing andrea along too. it's in the process of catching and pulling it northward. the heaviest rain is down over south carolina. florida is almost out of it now. we have dry air pulled in. you would look at it and it doesn't seem to be a tropical system. all the rain is out to the north of the system. that's where we're going to be tomorrow. i wanted you to see on radar what we have locally is heaviest right here in clarksburg and then down south. so it's been kind of patchy but in areas where you're getting heavy rain be aware tomorrow morning just in case we start getting some reports of streams and creeks getting rather full. leesburg has had heavy rain to clarksburg and also around the charlottesville area i noticed they picked up 1 1/2 inches of rain. no hurricane warnings. this thing is not going to get
