jaclyn. >> good morning. it's not a good morning for drivers heading along 880 because that remains shut down in that northbound direction after a deadly crash last night. so we are getting some conflicting information. of course this is a sliding scale fluid situation as to when those lanes will re-open. but it looks like it's going to be another hour at least before they get some of that opened at least some of those lanes. so in the meantime, you will need to give yourself extra time getting through that stretch. all traffic diverted off at automall parkway. the automall parkway on-ramp as well as the stevenson on- ramp are closed getting onto northbound 880. for drivers on 880, you can always get off at mission or fremont. traffic is backed up to about fremont boulevard at this point. you can see take that up to mowry and get back onto 880 or you can head on over to 680. now, we are tracking some overnight roadwork along 680 and that's keeping your ride slow northbound but it's not creating too much of a

"zero dark thirty." we are tracking a nice easy ride in the green. dark or not, it is looking okay in both directions along 101 as you make your way through santa rosa. this is 101 right near college. through petaluma the ride in the green. smooth sailing up and down 101 right now. highway 37 not a problem westbound still in the green 21 minutes from 80 to 101. richmond/san rafael bridge, nice and quiet conditions. you can count the cars out there. just about 4 cars that we just saw in the last couple of minutes. right now, if you are making your way out of antioch, we're looking good. we have a high wind advisory posted for the antioch bridge. so please be careful. keep a firm grip on the wheel and use both hands. eastshore freeway starting to see crowds develop but hey, we are accident-free and moving at the limit. 14 minutes down towards the maze. no metering lights at the bay bridge toll plaza but cash lanes backing up. but a nice ride into san francisco and golden gate bridge nice and quiet conditio

let's talk about what's happening right now but still, covered in great over jaclyn square.ittle bit of a breeze out there. low clouds are stubborn. we're looking at some widespread cover over the coast . you can see it pretty much across san francisco bay and stretches well inland. finally beginning to burn off from areas of livermore. in the last half hour, we have seen this clearing. we will continue to have it for the coastline. partly cloudy skies. pretty good clearing going on at this point. from san francisco to san mateo. east bay, oakland, san leandro, hayward down to fremont. small little communities in here. san lorenzo and again off to the east. in the last half hour, it would it was crossing -- it was crossing along 680. some areas on the coast and just inside the bay, may be partly to mostly cloudy for the entire day. it is want to pull back, though. and then as we get into the evening hours, it will return once again. temperatures at this hour, cooler than yesterday. by a few degrees. we had a little more sunshine yesterday. a lot more sunshine yesterday. 66 d

. >>> let's check traffic now with jaclyn. >> things aren't so great over on 680. an earlier problem now a crash in the same area. so be on the lookout for this. it is a live look at the scene right now. and you can see crews have stopped traffic in the southbound direction. they are working on trying to clear all of this mess out there. this is definitely causing a backup. chp has given a time of 6 a.m. by the time they should re- open these lanes but it looks like they are going to be doing that any moment. so they are just working on clearing the debris from that earlier problem. they had it put south some absorbent for the fuel spill southbound 680 approaching 580. we are also seeing that backup that's stretching beyond bollinger canyon right at alcosta boulevard. the southbound side with delays. so they should have those lanes reopened. we also had a crash in the same area so definitely not helping that backup. please be careful. 680 and 580 that interchange seems to be a real hot spot lately. if you are making your way towards the bay bridge toll seeing slowd

first jaclyn dunn with a look at the morning commute. >>> we have been tracking a busy friday morning commute. usually we have "friday light" at least for the first part of the commute. >> not today. >> not today. we are in the red. we have a "sig alert" that remains in effect for drivers heading along westbound 580. "super commuters" beware! this backup just keeps growing along westbound 205 as you are heading through tracy and then westbound 580 we have a lane that's blocked due it a big rig that ran out of fuel there. this is right at grant line road. one lane, the middle lane, is blocked. so do give yourself some extra time. we are in the red towards 680. we have a 45-minute ride. that's not looking pretty. if you are heading over to 880, so far we're okay. in the the in the green 14 minutes tow to 101. eastshore freeway looks fantastic in the green 15 minutes on over towards the bay bridge toll plaza. we are busy, in the yellow, 22 minutes into san francisco with the metering lights on. the good news is, that mass transit is all running with no delays. >>> here's some good news.

first jaclyn has a crash in the north bay. >> things are heating up on the roads. we are tracking an accident on highway 37. this is in the westbound direction. emergency crews are on the scene. it doesn't appear to be blocking lanes. but causing drivers to slow down along that stretch. so give yourself some extra time. our travel time just went up into the yellow. 33 minutes between 80 and 101. for those who want to go over the richmond/san rafael bridge and avoid 37, that remains in the green. 8 minutes from sir francis drake. looking good -- to sir francis drake. and we are tracking a big backup over at the bay bridge toll plaza. no surprise there. here's a live look at the maze. you can see your 580 approach and 80 definitely getting slow as you head into san francisco. our drive times in the yellow and it's just under 20 minutes. let's check in with neda on the forecast. >>> we are about two minutes abe from the official sunrise and we are starting to get a peek of it. this would be the mount vaca view. what a difference a day makes. we don't have as much clou

let's check traffic with jaclyn. >> okay. well, we are tracking some delays pretty usual for westbound highway 4. but it was friday so we were hoping for the green. we see those speeds in the yellow westbound direction and that's pretty normal heading through pittsburg. but once you get past 680 there, we are tracking a crash. this is westbound 4 at alhambra. looks like they just cleared all of that activity over to the shoulder. that car went down the embankment. so no delays along that portion of highway 4. southbound 680 in walnut creek at north main street, those taillights heading southbound towards 24, an easy ride speeds in the green. further south, along 680, you're still looking good but we are tracking a new crash and this is right near stoneridge. not blocking any lanes. and definitely not causing any delays for drivers heading in that southbound direction. your ride over to 84 just an eight-minute ride from 580. so that's looking good. 880 in the northbound direction as you're approaching 238 we are tracking a new

jaclyn, how are the roads? >> the roads are doing better than yesterday. but we are still tracking some slowdowns and, of course, over at the bay bridge toll plaza, you will be waiting just a minute or so if you are getting ready to head in that direction. we are seeing a little bit of a backup in some of the cash lanes already just gets earlier and earlier. doesn't it? here's the eastshore freeway. this is right near carlson and you can see traffic still moving right at the limit there. no problems east- or westbound as you make your way towards the maze. here's 205 for folks making their way through the tracy triangle, not a pretty sight. we have some major slowdowns due to overnight roadwork. caltrans wrapped up with that. all lanes have reopened as you transition onto 580 but you can see speeds are below 15 miles per hour. so we have a yellow travel time just under 30 minutes making your way westbound along 580 over towards 680 there. and the rest of your ride looking okay along 85, 280, 101, south bay, so far, so good. hat's a check of your traffic; o

. >>> let's check traffic with jaclyn. >> we have a traffic alert and this is not looking good. an overturned vehicle along southbound 680. it's causing delays with speeds drop in the red. three lanes involved with up to four cars. give yourself some extra time southbound. our travel times are starting to increase there. we have about 34 minutes as you make your way from 580 down to 84. that typically takes less than 10 minutes so give yourself some extra time. 580 your commute over towards 680 there from 205 just over 30 minutes. so definitely seeing some more brake lights along that stretch. we are getting reports of a crash in san francisco. and this is from the central 101 freeway as you are transitioning on that connector ramp to eastbound 80. so making your way towards the lower deck of the bay bridge. we don't see any activity at this interchange right now. we are going to keep a close eye on that and we'll have an update for you coming up in the next traffic report. but for now, let's check in with neda. >>> check out the skies over the golden gate bridge. yes, gray and

jaclyn is tracking that massive build-up on 680 because of a fuel spill. >> that's right. this has been going on -- this accident happened just before 2:15 a.m. two right lanes are now closed. we are showing some progress but still big delays. this is southbound 680 approaching 580 just before that dublin-pleasanton interchange so a lot of folks having to move to the left lanes and get back to the right lanes to get onto 580 if that's what they are trying to do. you're going to need to give yourself extra time. chp hasn't given us a time of re-opening of the remaining two lanes. this is definitely causing a big backup. we can see traffic backed up beyond bollinger canyon at this point. if you you typically travel this route southbound 680 and you are planning on getting onto westbound 580, do yourself a favor. you can always take crow canyon and that will connect you down into castro valley. it may be a little bit longer of a route but you won't be just sitting still or at a crawl along southbound 680. right now our travel times in the red, about 22 minutes from highway 24
