. >> reporter: court documents say that fairfield police officers steven lewis and detective jacob glasshoffd time and equipment to search for women on internet dating sites and used a police database to screen the women they liked. it has folks in fairfield talking. >> i feel like it's an abuse of power. >> reporter: the court documents allege another fairfield officer reported the incidents to his superior back in the june. the reporting officer alleged that the two officers found women profiles on dating websites while working at the investigations bureau off of the fairfield police department. >> if it's downtime, you know, during their breaks or whatever, that's one thing. but not on the clock. >> reporter: court documents allege that they used a police issued computer to look up women that they found appealing in a database that connects to the dmv and state and federal records. court documents go on to say that the two officers would perform the searches and have conversations about the dating sites in front of other officers. >> you can't control yourself, you know, at work. come on.
