i spoke with mindfulness expert jacqueline carter.rd to stay focused, what would you say is the best way to manage that? >> first of all, it's to accept that's a bit of all of our new normal so it's natural to be distracted. >> reporter: she has a series of practical tips including, create boundaries with your family so everyone knows there are certain times and places where you cannot be interrupted. other tips, turn off distracting notifications on your computer and phone. moderate your news consumption so that you aren't so anxious that you can't focus on your work, and make sure you get enough sleep, exercise and meditation. all of which can reduce anxiety, increase focus and boost your immune system. but what if you are still struggling? cate for example, can't seem to find enough time to write. >> i'm finding it difficult to s >> jacqueline says we're all bound to make mistakes in this situation. >> this is a time for having good intentions and really trying to be our best selves, and knowing that's difficult in today's context.
