jacqui jeras can hear me pap cool, wet labor day for a lot of people. right?, a bummer for a lot of people. while it might seem like a wimpy storm to some, there's a lot of threats we'll deal with and unfortunately we'll deal with this probably at least a good week. here's the latest on tropical storm lee. it's a weak tropical storm but a slow mover. so the flood threat is real. we've also seen a lot of water coming up in louisiana as well as in the mississippi. we've seen rainfall totals. as much as a foot in the last two days. so this is 45 mimeles per hour, it's going to stay moving slowly over the next couple of days. here's where we're expecting it to go. through mississippi by tomorrow. heading on up towards tennessee as we head into thursday. that gives you an idea how much think thing is creeping along. we are concerned about widespread flooding here. especially as this thing gets up into the appalachians. we could have a threat of mudslides. rainfall totals, very concentrated. where the worst of it will be. this purple, right and red area, talking a p

meteorologist jacqui jeras joins us from the severe weather center. we're hoping for good news. need to dry out there in the northeast, jacqui. >> they really do. most of the rivers have crested and are receding. that's the glass half-full scenario. but unfortunately they're still in flood which means there's still water all over the place. lots of roads are still shut down and they're not going to go back within their banks until monday and tuesday for many of them. so flood warnings remain in effect for about half a dozen states. there is rain in the forecast. we've been seeing spotty showers coming in east to west. we have a frontal boundary here and seeing light rain showers. the rainfall totals are going to stay pretty minimal, maybe under an inch for everybody over the next 24 to 48 hours. that rainfall is taken into account in those flood forecasts that we still expect that not to be enough to make the rivers go back up. this is still affecting, believe it or not, what's happening in texas. on the backside of the high, we're bringing in the dry, gusty winds. very dry in t
