trillions of covid-era spending >> joining me now is kayla tausche and msnbc political contributor jake sherman kayla, let's talk about the economic stakes here the president was out today saying if we don't raise the debt ceiling, a clean raise of it, it's going to be disaster. >> yeah. that's what he's been saying for the last two months. he and speaker mccarthy last met on february 1st. that was his position then that's his position now. the white house has not budged in the two plus months since then president biden today is arguing that the across the board 22% spending cuts that republicans are proposing would hurt every-day americans and the white house is sharing polling with reporters that it beliefs supports that message. an ipsos poll that it sent around says that 69% of respondents believe that high earners and corporations should be taxed to essentially have the country be on a better fiscal path rather than just 19% that believe that cost cutting is the way to get there even so, it's unclear exactly how this compromise happens. even though president biden said this is his position

sherman. you have some more information about what security is going to look like tomorrow. there. when the former president arrives. yeah. so jake, you know, you hear john there described some of the process and what's going to happen? this is actually the street where we expect the former president to drive that motorcade that the cameras are going to be over the helicopters that we're seeing today that motorcade will be on this street tomorrow, and this is just outside the manhattan district attorney's office. the entrance inside is one hogan place, and that's it right there to the left there. you'll see one hogan place and so he will go in through that door. that's when he's going to be met. by the staff from the district attorney's office who are then going to take him off stairs, where they begin the arrest process. once he enters those doors, jake he is under arrest, and officials will then take him into custody. and then he'll be brought upstairs and at some point he'll be brought over to the courthouse just which is connected to this office, taking up to the 15th floor, and that's when the arraignment will take place. bu
