joining us now our cnn political contributor, the democratic strategist james carville and our republican strategist terry holt. let me get your reaction, james, to what larry sabideau tweeted earlier, referring to the president's speech, this was a tough partisan speech, all pretense of bipartisanship is gone on both sides. is srk abato right? >> republicans, something like 180 republican amendments and i don't agree with that interpretation of it. larry has his interpretation, other people have their interpretation. but the truth of the fact is that they're not going to get any republican votes and the truth of the matter is that joe wilson is pretty much in the main stream of the modern republican party. it's dominated by people like joe wilson at of talk radio and the people you see at these tea bag things. i'm not shocked by any of this. >> i guess, terry, you're not part of that main stream of the republican party anymore, is that right? >> well, i'm not sure how to answer that, i have always looked forward to a bipartisan conversation about health care, but the simple fact is that
