james clyburn said now is not the right time for biden to choose her as his vp. how much pressure is he under on this question? >> well, generally speaking, a vice presidential pick is overinflated in terms of its importance in an election. but i think when you have two candidates, particularly two white men who are at the top of the ticket on the republican and democratic side, and especially when you have a nation that is facing this sort of uprising and division, it puts a lot more pressure on that vp spot to be someone who can resonate with people who can connect with people. and amy klobuchar's record, her prosecutorial record, was an issue for her when she was a presidential candidate, certainly that's going to come back under a microscope when you talk about in light of the recent events. so certainly that is weighing on former vice president joe biden. congressman clyburn is someone who has the ear of the former vice president and someone who is very influential within the democratic party. so if she's speaking publicly about that, that is a lot of troubl

mayor benjamin, you can be very proud of your native son come constituent, and congressman james clyburn. we have a deep friendship but we also respect the job he does. of the be proud representative that you sent to washington. i do want to touch on some of the differences in things that we talked about in terms of how to reopen safely and how mayors play such a key role and also, how the guidance has at least helped to allow for everybody to work through what they know best in their own community. i know there might be disagreement on this, but the recovery and the savory opening of our economy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. the president has done a good job of giving guidance from health experts, cdc, cmf, so many other agencies where you have health experts giving guidance, but ultimately, the governors are the ones making the decisions. even within communities from your not seeing the exact reaction. some communities are doing better than others. some communities need to reopen differently than others. somewhat success and some not with success. i think where the focus needs t
