joining me now is james clyburn of south carolina, a regular guest on the show.love seeing his picture. we have technical problems this morning, congressman. i'm glad to have you here regardless. i want to continue the conversation with you. because i've taken your name a few times this morning. you had said in this -- this sort of unsolvable fight about the filibuster in the senate, you had said voting rights should be an exception. you all can keep the filibuster for other things but for voting rights this is too important to have to reach the threshold the filibuster requires. now talk to me about this, this texas law. the ban on abortion now going to be spreading like wildfire through other states. do you think this should be subject to the filibuster in the senate? >> well, first of all, thank you for having me. you know, i've said coupled with that, voting rights like all other constitutional rights ought not be subjected to the whims of any one person. and so the supreme court in roe v. wade made it very clear embedded in the constitution of the united sta
