first of all we know from james comey that he wasn't involved and many in the leadership were not involved-day investigation decisions here. that's why peter strzok was a lead investigator. on any given day at any given moment he would have been and could have been and was making independent decisions that influence the course of this investigation. so obviously, he has the ability to take actions that wouldn't have been questioned and might have been motivated by bias, most likely work. >> james comey was basically the king and this, he didn't do any of the work, he just took the copy. he was the one with the sleeves rolled up doing the investigating rachel or and michael flynn, and pushing it forward. he wanted me to bring it to jim jordan's questioning of peter strzok. he was relentless in pushing to find out about his role with the dossier and what bruce ohr's role was doing. and of course he is with the fbi and his wife worked for the group that got the dossier to begin with. so let's listen to this exchange. >> are there three copies of the dossier as evidence as you said an email? >

in secret, behind closed doors, including perhaps a loyalty oath demand from president trump to james comey. this is notable because it's what the president was saying publicly. >> you're absolutely right, peter. normally when someone is the subject of a complicated criminal investigation, they are instructed by their lawyers to remain silent, not to talk about it in public. obviously donald trump has been doing the opposite. he's been tweeting regularly, denouncing the investigation as a witch hunt and denouncing particular pleasuayers in it, including jeff sessions and james comey. what "the new york times" is reporting is that mueller has told trump's lawyers that he is scrutinizing these tweets as part of a pattern of conduct that could add up to obstruction of justice, to witness intimidation. i've been talking to legal experts about this and they say it's not surprising at all that these tweets are coming under investigation. what was surprising to them all along has been the fact that trump is making these tweets in such an inflammatory nature while he's under criminal investigation.
