torres live from the berkeley hills where an engineer says more rain on the way could be a problem. jamesorning to you, andre. we are just outside the tuna college here in the berkeley hills where firefighters tell us this might be the topping point of where that mudslide began. it's kind of hard to see exactly where it all started. they've got some caution tape here, keeping some people out, of course for safety reasons, but if you really zoom in to what we're looking at here, you can kind of see some parts of where some of that dirt has shifted. some of those trees have fallen. you also see a number of water pipes as well. at one point, firefighters told us that it was a bursted pipe. kind of contributed to some of those mudslides and the mitigation that they had to do in order to get the situation under control was to basically reroute that water into a different storm drain away from the slope here, and that is what helped kind of cause some of the mudslides to slow down and some of that dirt to eventually dry out. firefighters say. 14 people evacuated the area. those people were in t

james. so yes, some parks are open. some parks are closed here at coyote hills right behind me. there are signs placed all over letting drivers know that this road. this is paterson ranch road. it is closed because it is a flooded. this has been a similar situation at other parks and trails in the east bay. the regional park district says that some other recreational areas will remain closed. they're going to be off limits until they find that it is safe for people to head out to the trails. and there's no more danger of mudslides and falling trees. some of those parks that remain closed because of storm damage or anthony chabot doughball seminole and alone wilderness. however, there are some parts that are partially open. people can still enjoy some of those trails. but you'll find that some the trails are closed because of all the storms that we've seen here at coyote hills, the park trails in and around the marsh like willow, muskrat and dust. they are still flooded and remain closed. the entrance, like i said, of coyote hills here at patterson ranch road is closed because of
