jayden gray is the chair of the union city youth commission and founding member of the james logan high school young democrats and jayden is joining us via skype. jayden, first of all congratulations. what an honor for you. i think the first question going through so many people's minds is how did this point come about? how can a 17-year-old be on the state board of education? >> thank you so much first off. really how it came about was i serves a student member board of education and i was so passionate about education and i found that i liked it so much that i wanted to take it to the state level after like research on the internet. i saw the opportunity there, like a memo for applications. so i applied and lucky enough to be selected as semifinalists and we went to a coaches in sacramento where we have like a vote from our peers and we interviewed with state board of education members where they picked a final three and from there we interviewed with a governor appointment team and he made the final decision. >> katie you are something special. what an honor. this is great news. so y
