congressman jamie raskin is a democrat of maryland.s the lead manager in the second impeachment trial of donald trump. he also served on the january 6th committee, and he joins me now. congressman, thanks for coming on the show. as you have pointed out, even the divided congress under president trump was more productive than this republican house. why do you think that is? >> well, as you were suggesting, we've got an agenda in the democratic party. and if the republicans are willing to go with us, we will work with them. i mean, you know, i sat there for four years under donald trump. we had an infrastructure day. we had an infrastructure week. infrastructure press conference. we just did not have an infrastructure bill. but when joe biden got a, we had an infrastructure bill in the first or second month. and we passed a 1. 2 trillion dollar investment in the roads, the highways, the ports, broadband, high-speed internet access for people in the rural areas, real changes in the country. we did the same thing with climate action, the b

and jamie gangel, how significant is this? >> i think it's very significant.ven though, as sara points out, this ruling, the judge said, does not necessarily mean it will carry over to other people. it does set a bar. so, i think it is bad news in that the judge is saying, you know, you have exceeded your role as chief of staff. so, that kind of argument is going to stand for other people. the judge also mentioned the hatch act, which limits what an employee can do that is political versus federal. so, i think that this is going to be bad news for other people who want to go in this direction. one thing i think we should remember, donald trump wants to delay these cases. his goal is to push all these trials past the election. so, even though this ruling has come down, i don't think it means he won't try to do the same thing. >> let me get gloria's reaction. this is a lengthy 49-page decision that was just released. >> right. and we're just going through it. but i think my colleagues here have got ton the crux of the matter, which is that what the court is sayi
