jaime apody joining us now here in studio this afternoon. that was a tough one, jamie. >> reporter: it was but you know what, guys, i don't think necessarily it was a bad thing and i'll tell you why. the eagles, remember, hadn't lost a game since september. a reality check as the playoffs hit closer may be what the doctor ordered to maintain their edge. the game won and lost right here. a second and goal in the third quarter when carson wentz fumbles at the 1 yard line goes out the back for a touch back. he missed wide open receivers. it wasn't just the quarterback that was sloppy doug pederson challenged some stuff he shouldn't then didn't challenge the most important play of all. fourth quarter birds down a touchdown. he let that lateral go. it was a forward pass. it would have been overturned and it led to this touchdown that ended the chances for a come back. birds fell 24-10 napping their winning streak and bringing them back to earth. >> everything matters particularly down the stretch and beauty of the whole thing is it's still in our control and guys in that lo
