joining us is jamie weinstein senior editor at "daily caller." how are you doing? >> i'm good. >> if you stick your toe in the water, you're testing the waters, right? if you're sticking your foot in the water, it seems like a sure sign you're ready to jump in. so, if governor jeb bush makes an official announcement that he will run for president in 2016, i want to ask you, jamie, how will governor bush come out swinging? you know, what do you think will be his top platform priority? >> i talked to a lot of tea party conservatives earlier this year about governor bush and what they thought of him and they all said he was a very conservative governor. but as everyone knows who is thinking of jeb bush possibly running and contemplating it he will have trouble in two key areas. one is immigration and a supporter of comprehensive immigration bill and the second is common core, which some see as too much of a naturalization of the education system. those are the two issues he will have to win over conservatives on if he enters the race. as you mention, it looks like he

jamie weinstein joins us now.day, the president said that the fourth quarter is when the interesting stuff happens and it seems like he plans to keep it that way. >> well, it looks like he's not changing for sure -- chastened by sure by the republican's midterm sweeps. immigration, cuba, climate change, all the initiatives he's doing on his own, not reaching out to congress. if you notice he did these after the election occurred. he sees as the fourth quarter, he has no elections in front of him. not for himself or for congress. so, you know, this might be a moment he sees as a possibility of just going it alone and letting -- in some way letting his flag fly and pursuing all the initiatives on his own to the extent he can and even pushing the line now that he has no elections and voters to face. >> yeah, i mean does he feel emboldened do you think? does he feel free because he doesn't have the midterm and that's passed and there are no more elections left? >> well, he doesn't feel like he needs to reach out to th
