cbs's jamie yuccas has more. >> reporter: last night she posted she was asymptomatic.d to the games with her husband and son and tested negative at the airport before testing positive january 29th. she still hopes to compete during the games but her situation illustrates the difficulty of holding such a big event during such an unpredictable pandemic. rehearsals continue for what promises to be colorful opening ceremonies on friday. but as the athletes and others ar arrive, so does anxiety and concern. can china really pull off a covid-free games? >> it's scary because you put in four years since the last games. and for all of that to go to waste in the last week, last couple days, it would be a tragedy. >> reporter: organizers are banking on a closed loop, or bubble, after a series of rigorous testing and health checks. the idea is to keep all olympic participants separate from the general chinese population and adhere to masking, distancing, and once a day testing. but today 24 new positive results. 18 of those coming from new arrivals at the airport. anyone testing
