jan? >> reporter: good morning frightening day, turned into long night of travel, for many philadelphia passengers, and that amtrak train that collided in north carolina, was actually supposed to pull into the 30th street station here in philadelphia, at 7:00 last night, well, many of the passengers did not arrive until just few hours ago. fake a look, two late night trains that pulled into philadelphia, one at 11:00 another around midnight. they were tired shaken, the passengers were, and that's because around noon, their amtrak train operating from charlotte, collided with a big rig, that had stalled on the tracks in hal fax county north carolina the collision toppled the engine and derailed some cars. the impact also injured dozen of people at least 40, thankfully, no one was seriously injured. now amtrak says 212 passengers and eight crew members on board at the time of the collision. and that included clinton jackman from malvern. he was in the cafe car during the collision, he says i

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now from the scene with the latest information, jan good morning. >> reporter: erika ukee, good morning there is was very serious car accident, fortunately, police say the officers involved did not suffer life threatening injuries. however, six people were injured, in a this three car crash here on route one north late last night. you can see though, the road has reopened this morning. this lands 10:45 route one near route 13, falls township police offers her pull over a driver clock going 90 miles per hour. a short time later police say a third car crashed into the patrol car causing a chain reaction so, the officer's car hit the vehicle that had been pulled over. four people in that vehicle were taken to the hospital. so was the officer. none of them have life threatening injuries, once again, fortunately there is morning, police are still investigating, the cause of the crash but they do have some preliminary information. take a listen. >> the operator of the striking vehicle did appear to be impaired. and we are investigating this, as a

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins just queen village with more on these theft. january, two days in a row. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, it is a scene becoming all too familiar all over philadelphia. you mention rhawnhurst, yesterday and earlier this month, now here in queen village. drivers are coming taught their car to look much like there is window smashed, in airbags taken from the seeing wheel. take a look at the video. out of the 20 cars this happened to in queen village this weekend, 17 of them were honda's, only three were acura's, half dozen them were discovered on saturday morning here on the 700 block of south front street. police then reported other airbags stolen out of carson monroe fitzwater christian catherine streets again, 20 in total here in queen village saturday alone. experts say it tax just minutes for thieves to break-in and take an airbag, and they'll get couple of hundred bucks for each one on the black market. on the flip side, it is a costly repair for car owners who often have to do a lot more than just replace the airbag
