"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live along kelly drive with the latest on the conditions, good morning, jan. >> jim, rahel, good morning, still, raining throughout the city of philadelphia. although, it is very light, as matt peterson mentioned, and katie fehlinger mentioned. we seem to be in a bit after lull. coming down ever so slightly, and really much too mild out here right now for this to be anything but rain. we are hovering right around 45 degrees. still, the rain has been falling for hours now. you can see, the sidewalk behind me is bet. there is a bit of ponding there. and kelly drive, wet, too, but mostly looking pretty good right now. we do know that some areas along kelly drive are prone to flooding, so we will keep our eyes on the changing conditions throughout the morning. but, if you take a look at the video, you can see how much the rain was coming down overnight. more intense at times. and for that reason, penndot crews are standing by, they're going to be keeping an eye out for flood-prone areas. they have their crews ready to battle whatever falls from the s

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live along kelly drive with the latest on conditions there, and the last time we spoke to you you said it was misting, and what's the scene snow. >> well, rahel, jim, good morning. misting before, misting now, so, conditions are sticking pretty much steady here in the city of philadelphia. even if we were seeing more rain right now, still, so mild out here this morning it, wouldn't be snow, right around 45 degrees, but, you can see behind me here, that the rain has fallen it, continues to fall. we do see some ponding on the sidewalks here. we do see wet road on kelly drive. but really road conditions right now, at least in our area, are pretty clear. again, much too mild for any freezing or any kind of snow or slush, but as conditions change, of course you have to approach driving differently, but take a look at the video, you can see that overnight the rain was coming down much harder at times, in this video , from the city of philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs. that's where all of this rain is now sticking around on the sidewalks, and penn

jan carabeo live along kelly drive with the latest on conditions. morning, jan. >> reporter: jim, rahel, good morning, right now throughout the city of philadelphia, we are only seeing rain that is just much too mild out here right now for this rain to turn to snow. even so, we are seeing steady rain, and already, we are seeing a lot of ponding on sidewalks like this one. we are coming to you live, just off of kelly drive, as you know, some areas of kelly drive you can see flooding during storms like there is so we are keeping our eyes very close on the changing conditions out here this morning. and guess what? so are penndot crews, they're now standing by, keeping watch , on flood-prone areas. unfortunately, unlike the case with other winter storms, they were not able to pre-treat the roads this time around. mainly because the conditions are just too wet to pre-treat roads. but, with that said, penndot is treating this winter storm as the snow event, even so they realize that they were mainly probably going to be focusing on rain and flooding today.
