abc's janai norman joins us now with the latest. good morning, janai. >> reporter: guys, good morning. the city held a vigil last night honoring those 11 victims and at the same time, the investigators are learning more about the suspected gunman who allegedly posted his plans on social media shortly before that 20-minute shooting rampage. >> as soon as he came into the lobby, he opened fire. >> reporter: saturday services at the tree of life synagogue were interrupted by gunfire. the gunman, 46-year-old robert bowers, armed with an ar-15 assault rifle and handguns, said to be hurling words of hate against jews as he murdered them. >> suspect is talking about all these jews need to die. we're still communicating with him. >> reporter: the city of pittsburgh left reeling. honoring the 11 victims ranging in age from 54 to 97. among them, two brothers, a family doctor and a husband and wife, married at that same synagogue more than 60 years ago. >> we're here to support the jewish community. what was done yesterday was not just harmful

here's janai norman. >> reporter: tonight, a kentucky mom wants answers about this surveillance video, capturing her 11-year-old son thatcher -- seen here sitting on the floor of his school, his service dog beside him -- before being dragged through the halls by a teacher and school nurse. at one point, the pair even dragging him up a flight of stairs. thatcher's dog forced to follow along. thatcher, who has nonverbal autism, visibly uncomfortable. >> he's clearly screaming, he doesn't want them to do this. >> reporter: jo grayson says the teacher texted her saying thatcher refused to stand, so they picked him up. at home, she noticed bumps and bruises on her son's body and turned to the school with questions. the incident has now prompted investigations by school officials and state authorities. >> he'll remember this for the rest of his life. autism or no autism, any kid would remember that. >> reporter: in a statement to abc news, the district said, "incidents of this nature are isolated." and, "there is absolutely no tolerance for the conduct of the employee in this incident." add
