jane ferguson live in ramallah. jane, do you believe these are the bodies of the three missing teenagers? >> well, del, there's no confirmation yet at this point. the israeli military and government are not speaking at all about this new development. it was sources that told al jazeera that three bodies had been found just north of hebron city, and it was close to hebron city where the three israeli teenagers went missing three and a half weeks ago. it was believed that the three bodies were found buried by the israeli military while they were doing searches. there has been intense searches and arrests going on nightly across the west bank but around the hebron area seems to be the place the search has focused for the last three weeks. >> jane do we know anything else, for instance, the cause of death? >> that has not been made clear yet. whether or not they were freshly dead, or they had been killed several weeks ago. which of course will be the key parts of evidence in this. of course they'll have to identify the b

jane ferguson joins me life. how much do we know about the shooting? >> well, al jazeera has spoken to a senior military source in the israeli military. a vehicle along that deputied border but inside the golan heights in israeli territory was targeted with an explosion. it is not clear if it was a rocket or explosion. the explorks happened in a vehicle, that was carrying civilian contractors. they were working on the wall. that contact said that the source said there are casualties, but they will not go into the number of figures of anyone dead or wounded. along the border with syria there has been incidents in the past, just in april, an israeli soldier was injured in an explosion, and the israelis blamed hezbollah, operating in syria for the incident. there are many incidents are ordanances and explosions falling across the border by intense fighting by accident. if it's an explosion in a vehicle, it may not be an accident at all. >> thank you, jane. bring us up to date for the search in the occupied west bank for the missing israeli teenagers. >> w

jane ferguson joins me from ramala on the wayning. it's -- on the west bank. it's been a week. any sign of a breakthrough? >> there's no sign of a breakthrough yet. as you say, almost a week and the israeli crackdown in the west bank, stretching across the wang continues -- west bank continues, there was between 20-30 arrested. this crackdown is focussing on hamas activists and focussing around hebron in the south of the west bank, near to where the three went missing. it takes the total to around 300. as it conditions, there's no breakthroughs. no one claims specty for the -- responsibility for the three missing teenagers. the israeli government is trying to reassure the public and the families of the missing teenagers, that they are doing everything they can to bring them home safely and find out where they are. we spoke to one of the families of one of the missing teenagers. >> reporter: people in this town pray for the safe return of a local teenager. this 16-year-old went missing with two other israeli teenagers, while hitch hiking home from a religious school in the occup

. >>> joining me from ramallah is jane ferguson. are more protests planned for today? >> there are more protests today, likely after friday prayers, because across the west bank, that is an provision that continues here. there was a youth killed, a 15-year-old near doura, a town near hebron. last night the israeli military seemed to focus those raids. these have been nightly raids since the three teenagers went missing last thursday. they seemed to focus on refugee camps in ramallah, bethlehem, and genin. tens of people were arrested. this campaign is focussed on hamas and its activists across the west bank. palestinians say that this is the most significant israeli military operation in the west bank for 10 years. because there is a likelihood of potential confrontations with the israeli military today. there has been some suspensions for palestinians who have permits to move into israel from the occupied west bank. they'll not be operational. checkpoints across the occupied west bank will be intensified for the day. >> tell us more about the potential or the actual p

al jazeera's jane ferguson joins us from west bank. is there any reaction from the israeli or palestinians to martin's resignation? >> well, no official reaction at the moment. it is the weekend here. neither government is releasing any official statement. we have spoken with some who say that it was in line with the palestinian negotiation. they blamed benjamin netanyahu for making the job improbable. but those negotiations collapsed several months ago. the deadline, but before the talks had come to a stal stalemate over prisoner releases and mahmood abbas signing international treatings and agreements. both sides had come to an agreement long before an agreement. so it won't come as much of a surprise. >> two palestinians were killed in an early air raid at the gaza strip. what do we know about the strike? >> reporter: it happened late afternoon in gaza, that airstrike. it hit a vehicle and killed two people inside that vehicle who are briefed to have been part of a conservative group there. and they were accused by the israelis of p
