ktvu's janeen del la vega joins us now to tell us what the fremont school board has done about a controversy controversial sex ed textbook that has angered a lot of parents. janeen. >>reporter: the meeting went late last night, but the board did finally make a decision to delay the decision on whether 9th graders should be learning sex education out of a book that has content that some parents consider too racy. now, district representatives did get an ear full from parent hoss were upset that the textbook called "your health today" makes references to masturbation, sex toys and bondage. they say it is not age appropriate for incoming freshmans at fremont's six high schools who are required to take a health class. the school board wants to work with the book's publisher to make some changes in its chapters on sex education so that it is more suit to 14 years old. here's what some students told the board that may have swayed them. >> you call yourself proasmtions and if this was -- professionals and if this was any other subject that did not meet code, you would pull it. i don't understand wh

ktvu's janeen del la vega joining us live now from san jose at o'connor hospital to let us know how staffbers were alerted to the abduction attempt. janeen. >>reporter: it is a frightening situation for a mother who just gave birth. in this case the hospital says that the security system in place worked as it should. hospital officials say it went into code pink when the baby's father carried down his newborn down the hallway from the mother's room and was trying to walk out the doors which leads to the elevators. he set off alarms after passing through two security areas. now, it's unclear what the relationship was between the father and the mother, but his actions did lead to his arrest because of this attempt. o'connor hospital uses a tiny security band and an electronic device that is put on an infant after they're born. the alarm is triggered if the baby goes out of a certain area, away from the mother. other moms we spoke to reacted to the news. >> it gives me chills because that's exactly what those systems are in place and you always wonder when you're there if they really work. >
