>> reporter: janelle, last year that crash along 101 and subsequent fire made headline news around the world. today, that crash became the subject of a lawsuit. the widow of walter huang broke down at the end of a news conference announcing that huang's family filed a lawsuit against tesla motors. claiming the company's negligence led to this deadly crash along highway 101 in mountain view in march of last year. huang was driving southbound on 101 after dropping his children off at school. the car was on autopilot. >> we miss him so much. not just family. friends miss him a lot. >> reporter: the lawsuit also blames the state of california claiming caltrans did not replace a damaged guardrail after an earlier crash at that spot, saying it may have reduced the impact. but huang's lawyer say the majority of his criticism for tesla. >> tesla appears to be beta testing its software on live drivers. >> reporter: tesla declined to comment on the lawsuit but shortly after the crash happened, the company said, "the driver had received several visual and one audible hands-on warning earlier in t
