janelle burrell joins us live janelle. >>reporter: well, chris, last night the fire chief told people who live here to shut their windows as a precaution. the good news is this morning the smoke not quite as bad, but you can see fire crews, they have been out here throughout the night and this morning still dousing those hot spots that remain. that roof that you're looking at, part of it collapsed from the intensity of the flames. the massive flames lighting up the sky on 37th street in sunnyside wednesday night, more than 250 firefighters battling the raging warehouse burned. inside a flammable combination fueling the burst of flames that could be seen and smelled for miles. >> had a lot of wood, had a lot of lacquers, thinners, painters, paint in the shop which led to a quick fire spread. >> it was like a weird immense smell. it was really strong. >>reporter: the warehouse listed as new york custom interior millwork corporation, a family-owned wood work and building when the flames began around 7:30 p.m. it took crews fo

cbs 2's janelle burrell live from howard beach with more. janelle. >>reporter: well, chris, police have been working this scene throughout the night, and this woman's body was found late last night. police just confirming the identity of that victim, 30- year-old corrinea betrono who live just a few blocks from the scene which is at 161st avenue and 78th street in howard beach. now, we're told that she routinely jogged along that bike path here along this marsh land. she was reported missing around 7:00 last night, two hours after she went for a this brush. police discovering her body about four hours later. again, just a few blocks from her home where she was pronounced dead here at the scene. again, investigators are telling us that her death does appear to be suspicious. neighbors who live nearby say they are stunned by this discovery. >> something like this, you know, it's so close by, you know, it's really a shock. really a shock. i feel bad for the parents. home. i think somebody had to find her. >> very sad and shocking to hear it's right in y

cbs 2's janelle burrell joins us live from google headquarters in chelsea. janelle. >>reporter: well, mary, police do not believe that these two cases are connected. this most recent incident involving vanessa mercot who was an employee here at goog. she had worked here for just under two years and her beloved member of their team with a passion for volunteering. this morning police are still hunting for her killer. she had accomplished so much in her 27 years, an account manager at google, a limitless future ahead of her, only to end in what investigators vias a vicious, brutal death. >> please use an abundance of caution. we don't know if this is a random act. we're asking you to be very careful. >>reporter: the small town of princeton, massachusetts, about swarming with detectives. it's where vanessa mercot was visiting her mother over the weekend. the young woman had gone out for a jog along a tree-lined route, and when she didn't return, her mom called police. her body was found sunday evening in woods off of the road about a half mile from her mother's house. t
