janelle. this is a west little vargas creek, and when we get these heavy downpours, it tends to get a bit swollen and rise up and well, tends to flood the street across where we're standing right here and the streets around it. that's exactly what we saw this morning. we saw watsonville road at monterey closed off. we saw several other streets, like lamar in this area that had also received a lot of water. the city crews were out monitoring the area. and they say that, yes, these are some of the hot spots of morgan hill, but they try and close them off, do the best they can. now the street that we're right near is across the street from tim gall's home. and he says that, yeah, this is something that happens from time to time. i've been here 27 years and it floods almost every single year, not to this extent, but almost every year. there's every time we get a heavy rain in january, a lot of times the water comes up like this, a lot of water and no power. i hear there was some power outages too
