janessa webb joins us. what do you think? >> we had this hurricane really develop last night.r, and now you can start to see the center of the storm starting to come together, and that's really going to allow us to really watch the track closely. now, the national hurricane center just in the last few minutes has upgraded this hurricane to potentially go into a cat 2. you can see the intensification rev up and now it's at 82 miles an hour. it's very fast at about 17 miles an hour from the northwest. it's north of hispaniola, and that's why they've issued tropical storm warnings and watches out for all of the bahamas. you can see the latest track. it starts to really rev up as it sit in that warm ocean. by tomorrow we expect the sustained winds to be picking up to 100 miles an hour. you can see from the latest track, it's not going to be potential landfall for miami. it's about 60 miles away, so that could possibly wobble here, and then, you know, things will change in the next 12 to 24 hours, but right now it looks to stay well offshore, but we're still going to see that high

for the latest i want to go to meteorologist janessa webb as she's tracking the storm for us. nessa, what's expected here. >> good morning, yasmin. that's really tough to hear, but the federal officials are making the right call because the track continues to wobble south and north. this morning with the latest update from the national hurricane center, we're seeing tropical storm isaias, and it's moving up to 60 miles an hour. now, this formed around 11:00 last night, and it's really causing a lot of flooding right now for puerto rico, the outer bands of the system making their way through the leeward islands all the way into hispaniola. this is the latest track since 5:00 a.m. it's starting to intense five. then there's that kind of ocean track that we're going to see across the bahamas southeast of that, and now the latest track potentially turns this into a category 1 hurricane. it will be a close call, but you can see it's more toward the north now compared to yesterday. we have five states that are potentially in the path of this storm system. still there's a ton of time.
