i can't imagine walking 2 miles to school.so the school district of janesville offers a special program during the winter months.my adviser says when it's cold like this, she's able to give me bus tokens.tokens 4 teens gives bus tokens and gas cards to low-income families who don't have a way to get their students to school.it's a needed program.the program is funded by donations and is widely used in the district. last year we went through another 100 gas cards.but this year, donations are down.i'm roughly probably cut in half of what i was getting last year. so as requests come in to me, i try to fill them as fast as i can, but i can't fill all of them.for the families she can't give bus tokens or gas cards to, kulinski tries to help them as best she can.sometimes they have to find a ride with another family in the neighborhood and we brainstorm ideas of get to school during the winter months.but she's hoping more donations come in so she can keep students like dakota warm on their way to school.if i had to walk in this weather, i'd probably get frostbite or something coming up... gun
