. >> chair ronen: and is janet petty here? >> thank you. i'm honored to be here to be considered to be on the aging and adult advisory committee. i earned my doctorate degree in organizational learning at the university of san francisco where i've been a professor for 20 years. human services have been the cornerstone of much of my work. i've worked with organizations like glide, city college of san francisco, united way the bay area, and the red cross, where i've been tasked with providing services to the adult and aging population. [inaudible] >> -- and many of them, as you know, are seniors. i interacted with many, and i manage a team of 12 who raised the money to support the programs, and it was at that point that i became seriously committed to working with seniors in san francisco. my i was the foreperson of the san francisco civil grand jury in 2015, and it was during that time that year that i learned about advocate programs for independent aging populations in the city, and i now look forward to reengaging in these efforts to ensur
