janet shamlian is there. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you.ille. university officials are bracing for another wave of emotion because the death of yeardley love rocked the campus, rocked the community. authorities are concerned how it will play out here saying there is still a very deep wound. love was 22 and just weeks from graduating from uva when she was found dead in her apartment in may of 2010. one day later george hughley, a lacrosse player and love's former boyfriend was charged in her murder. for the campus and the community it was almost beyond belief. could it be the death of a student athlete had come at the hands of another? >> we are greatly distraught and unsettled to have lost yeardley in such a tragic, violent and haunting manner. >> reporter: it was haunting. yeardley was found face down on a pillow in a pool of her own blood. her roommate originally reported it as an alcohol overdose and love had spent time at a campus bar earlier in the day. but the medical examiner ruled she died of blunt force trauma to the head. hughley
