will bayley and janette manrara. .. will bayley and janette manrara... after his contemporary dance which captured the nation's heart, he was injured during the friday rehearsal for his jive, tearing cruciate ligament and needing an operation to rebuild his right knee. he wasn't able to play any table tennis for a whole year. after my injury it was difficult for me, i lost confidence in myself and put on a bit of weight, and i struggled with the rehab. i'm so grateful to be on the table again and doing what i love and what i feel comfortable with. unlike the dancing! i was doing rehab in my garden, and my little girl was watching me everyday. think i was doing 1000 squats a day was my target. my disability is muscle wasting, so i found it extra difficult to build that muscle back—up, and it was a real struggle, but you know what it is like when you've got children, sometimes they can give you that extra motivation, and she definitely did that, so i'm very gratefulfor and she definitely did that, so i'm very grateful for that. we and she definitely did th
