meteorologist janice huff in the weather center with all of it tonight. janice, good evening. >> hi, brian. it is going to be a mess for the east coast and west coast starting with the nor'easter on the east coast. this satellite and radar picture doesn't look impressive. but this storm is going to be developing rapidly and moving up the coast. this is 5:00 a.m. tomorrow hitting norfolk with heavy rain. snow back in the mountains of west virginia. hitting new york city in the afternoon with very heavy rain. and then a bullseye of very heavy snow around the albany area, maybe up to two feet expected. boston will get heavy rain. there will be coastal flooding along the areas as well from boston down to the jersey shore. here's a look at the snow forecast. that 18 to 24-inch bullseye is near albany, new york. the storm will last for several days as well. so there are warnings and watches that stretch all the way into new england that will continue into thursday. and on the west coast we've got that next storm you're talking about. they're already seeing rain

meteorologist janice huff is monitoring it all for us from the weather center. janice, what can we expect in the busy days ahead? >> a lot of crazy weather depending on your location. tonight it's not so bad. a lot of people of course getting a head start on the busy countdown to the travel before christmas. there is rain along the gulf coast, but it's pretty quiet elsewhere. but another storm, yet another one, will be moving into the pacific northwest this weekend. that's this weekend. so you're going to find delays from vancouver, seattle down to portland with rain and heavy snow moving into portions of montana. sunday morning it is quiet east of the mississippi. but that changes too. coming up on monday there will be snow developing over the northern plains, quite a bit of it north of minneapolis and rain along the southeast coastline that will move up into the northeast. washington, d.c., philadelphia, new york, boston will see very heavy rain on christmas eve. definitely travel delays there. a few thunderstorms around miami. chicago will see a bit of rain an

our friend meteorologist janice huff is in the weather center with the forecast. janice, how's it looking? >> it's looking better for christmas day, tamron, but right now seeing severe thunderstorms move through portions of ohio. earlier today thunderstorms reported south of jacksonville, but no damage reported there from those, no touchdowns. this severe weather now stretches if cleveland to akron towards parkersburg. and that's moving towards western pennsylvania and eventually new york city may hear rumbles of thunder. in terms of snowfall there will be some snow falling on the backside of that in colder air over parts of southern michigan. as you go through time here in our futurecast, you'll notice things start to clear out on christmas morning across parts of the northeast. some areas have snow on the ground still in some of the northern sections of new england, so you'll have a white christmas. this is what's on the ground right now stretching back through the upper peninsula of michigan, the northern plains and the usual places over the peaks of the rockies
