ktvu janine de la vega is in san jose to tell us this suspect just did not want to get caught. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, dave. that is right this woman did not want to give up trying to get away from police. she was relentsless. officers say she used her car as a weapon and the chase ended here. police say yesterday evening at around 5:30 they tried to stop 42-year-old lisa hernandez for a routine traffic stop. when they approached hernandez she accelerated and struck one of those officers. other officers in the area spotted hernandez car an chased her for a couple miles. they were able to box her in with their patrol cars. but officers say she started ramming into their patrol cars and that is when a second officer was injured. hernandez was finally taken into custody and arrested on four counts of an assault with a deadly weapon, felony dui and evading police. we have also learned she is on parole. as far as the police officers injuries one suffered bruises inebriations on her knee. both were taken to the hospital but released late last night. reporting live ja
