janine, how does it look right now? >> reporter: all lanes of southbound 880 are now open but the chp still has a lot to investigate. a woman was traveling the wrong direction here on 880 for three miles before she crashed and her car burst into flames. offices were called at around 12:30 a.m. after getting reports that a sedan had entered the southbound lanes of 880. but it was heading northbound just before thornton avenue it collided head on with a pickup truck carrying three men. the chp says the impact was so powerful that it tore the truck in two. the sedan caught fire. the female driver died. the three men in the truck were all rushed to the hospital with serious and possible life threatening injuries. officers have not released any names of the victims. there is still a lot of investigating that needs to be done. how fast were the vehicles travel something why was the woman traveling in the wrong direction? and was alcohol a factor? just a very tragic accident with deadly results. back to you. >> thank you janin

janine de la vega is joining us live now. you're in menlo park. what is that warning janine? >> reporter: well, first off let me tell you cal train just passed by here. so the schedule is back to normal here. i do want to show you the repair crews that are here because again this was badly damaged in the accident late yesterday afternoon. cal train says the woman most likely had cars in front of her and she got stuck at the tracks here. cal train officials say oftentimes traffic gets back up at the location all across the railroad tracks and drivers stop on the tracks. they say this happened just before 5:00 p.m.. a southbound train coming from san mateo hit the woman's suv sending it 40 feet through the intersection. the suv was totaled and the woman was rushed to sanford hospital. she died of her injuries. >> our heart goes out to the family, of course. this is a tragedy. we just want to remind people, don't stop on the tracks. people have to understand that it's not safe to do that. even with all the safety devices we have in place. and don't go across the tracks until you

ktvu fox 2 janine de la vega is joining us live now. you're at a dog park in sunnyvale.out a claim of toxic ingredients. what did you find out? >> that spokesman from purina told me this lawsuit that is filed against the company is completely baseless. this involves the beneful dry dog food line. but there is a man that says beneful dry dog food is why his dog died. that dog owner is the plaintiff in a class action lawsuit that was filed in u.s. district court in northern california. it states that the eight kinds of beneful dog food has caused internal bleeding, liver failure, vomiting, diarrhea, and kidney failure. the dog owner says he started buying beneful in late december or early january this year and gave it to his dog. soon after he says all three of his dogs became sick and his bulldog died. the suit says that toxins in the dog food are to blame including propylene glycol. in the past four years there has been more than 3,000 online complaints with dogs becoming ill or dying after eating beneful. they say there is nothing wrong with beneful and millions of dogs

janine de la vega is joining us live now. you're along interstate 880 where some of the lanes were shut down. what is the situation out there now? >> reporter: all lanes of southbound 880 are open but earlier this was a devastating scene.
