we spoke with former state supreme court justice janine geske about the magnitude of this ruling. hand, i know there was a lot of concern. he had really really good lawyers. he was young, he has mental limitations. so, i don't think it comes as a total surprise to people. and i don't believe that it's going to impact steven avery's conviction much. i think that's a totally separate issue. after hearing the news -- steven avery's former attorney -- jerry buting -- tweeted this out. he says -- "jusc strikes!" and avery's current lawyer tweeted quote: "justice for brendan as another law enforcement fabricated confession bites the dust. convicting the innocent foiled by unbiased court." dassey is currently serving his prison sentence at columbia correctional institution in portage. the court has ordered that he be freed from prison within 90 days... unless the case is appealed. live in the newsroom, ashley
