ktvu janine de la vega is live in sunnyvale now to tell us exactly what happened out there.anine. >> reporter: good morning, dave. the suspects are still at large. this is one of the neighborhoods where one of the robberies did take place. both victims worked at.com knows pizza -- at dominoes pizza. in the first incident monday night the employee made a pizza delivery on remington avenue just after 9:00 at night where two suspects entered the persons vehicle and forced him to drive to another area. they stole cash and a phone but the injury man was uninjured. they are considering the incident a kidnapping. officers say the victim ran away and the thief tried to steal the victims car. the delivery man was also uninjured and his car was located but no one was inside. on the doors of domino's pizza there are signs saying the delivery people only carry $20 cash on them. but that didn't stop the thieves. we have reached out to police to confirm whether or not these are connected because they certainly sound like they are and if patrols have been beefed up in the area. we are stil

ktvu's janine de la vega joining us live now from san jose to explain how all of this would work. good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning. you can find a lot of homeless people here in downtown san jose. a lot of them live near the creeks but there's not enough affordable housing in the city. but this program is aimed at giving those who want to work a chance to improve their situation. the new program kicked off on july 1st and has people who are living on the streets cleaning downtown and other areas of the city in exchange for help with food and housing. late yesterday, we found a group cleaning up discovery meadows because a lot of trash was left behind from the 4th of july celebrations. here's what one homelessman told us. >> now things are coming together. the they are working with ground works. >> reporter: the program is made possible through a partnership with the san jose downtown streets teams, the city's housing department and the crews that clean the streets. the homeless chosen for the program are paid in vouchers for grocery and housing assistance. those who
