her body was found in the parking lot of an apartment building here san francisco's japantown. ktvu's allie rasmussen has been talking to people in the area. >> reporter: yesterday evening, some of the residents of the st. francis square cooperative department came home to find crime scene tape blocking the parking lot to the building. police and emergency wokers are long gone but you can see that the crime scene tape is still here. this shooting happened around 9:00 last night when san francisco police arrived, they discovered the body of a 20- year-old woman who had been shot in the parking lot. she was pro numbered dead at the scene. several neighbors told us that, just prior to the shooting, they had seen a group of people gathering in front of the apartment building and, again, just before 9:00, that's when they say multiple gunshots. >> my mother, they heard the shooting, came out. they saw the body, called 911 and then she administered cpr but the young lady was already dead. she was probably, i think, in her early 20s, well dressed. she was shot from behind. >> reporter
