in the case of jared kushner, there's money moving from the kushner companies to individual russians and we should look into it. executives chose not to. in the case of donald trump, suspicious financial transactions and wanted the bank to look into it and the banks said not to and a unique situation because the part of the bank that was dealing with both mr. kushner and mr. trump is a part of the bank that does private wealth management and that piece of the bank is incentivized to help its wealthiest clients obtain objectives and meet their goals. so again, what we're seeing is part of a long pattern and something that certainly congress is going to want to look into as they fight to get financial records of deutsche bank. >> betsy, to you on this. in your reporting in the investigations of mueller article of various types of transactions, how does this fit in if at all? maybe a larngger story as we we hearing from katie? >> this is a separate line of inquiry from the focuses of mueller during the investigation. we know that while he did a lot of investigative moves, the report doe

deutsche bank's software flagged a series of transactions involving the real estate company of jared kushner. ms. mcfadden, this anti-money laundering specialist at deutsche bank tells "the times" she reviewed those kushner transactions and found that money had moved from kushner companies to russian individuals. as a long-time anti-money laundering specialist who was supposed to be looking at red flags like these for the bank, mcfadden, quote, concluded that the transactions should be reported to the government. in part because federal regulators had ordered deutsche bank to toughen its scrutiny of potential illegal transactions after the bank was caught laundering billions of dollars for russians. so this money laundering specialist hired by deutsche bank to look for this kind of activity, she sees all this money going from kushner companies to russian individuals. she, quote, drafts a suspicious activity report. she compiles a small bundle of documents to back up her decision. according to "the times" typically that type of report would be reviewed by a team of anti-money laundering exper

the president is expected to enroll a two-prong planned and i heard from rechtives for jared kushner this could be a big pivot. what does it look like? >> it's interesting. first it deals with legal immigrant. these are people seeking legally to enter to get a visa. right now a lot of those go to people coming in on a lottery-based system or humanitarian issues. they want to change that and have those visas go to high-skilled workers. first, stephanie, they would have to pass a civics test. then they would be awarded points based on their age, english proficiency, offer of employment and even how much that offer would include, what their salary would be and base rd on those points they decide who comes in. they want more visas going to people based on merit. then when it comes to the border, they want a tougher immigration plan, they want more border security, wall in 33 areas, streamline the asylum process and turn back unaccompanied children who arrive from central america more quickly. all of these things sound familiar about the border security, it's because they've been tried be
