jared: great to be with you guys. anna: you are known in the president's operation as someone who is very focused on metrics. help us square this circle. on to the states doesn't look too hot for the president. can you give us some numbers we october, watching in that this remains a winnable race for the president? jared: sure. i think you have to look at two things. a lot of the polls were wrong in the last election and i think they are making the exact same mistake this time. if you look at between the labor day and the election, there is 120 different polls, and three states the president won, and only one of those at him winning. cell phones and internet and how the electorate is divided, it is obviously very flood. if you look at where the president is, we believe his strength and his base has grown substantially. last time people said they would take a chance on him because we wanted an outsider. this time he has shown he keeps his promises and has gotten everything done and the president johnson says he has kep

jared: we keep it simple here. i think any move towards value, any rotation to cyclical sectors is going to be a tactical short-term flash in the pan until some changes in the economy that can provide meaningful growth higher. until then, i think these are noisy moves higher that a lot of investors can endure. lisa: because yields are higher, that should be good for the cyclicals. that should be good for the banks. why is that not another sign about performance, given that there may not be any reason behind this rally? jared: there's a lot of crosscurrents in the bond market right now. there's a lot of confusion about what it will be like in the future. most importantly, the sense that if yields really do rise in a meaningful way, the fed will come in with yield curve control and cap any big move anyway. so the long-term benefits, the correlation you might expect between yields and banks and other cyclical sectors, i think is not going to be what it once was, again, until the economy is structured in a very differe

jared, you have a wide portfolio on the issue of crooners.n wednesday, we had over 1500 deaths in this country in a single day. that brings us back to the kind of rate we were at in the month of may. you heard the c.d.c. director, they are projecting 200,000 deaths by labor day. do you believe the administration has control of the virus, and what u'ne wrong? >> right. so back in may, i believe the rate was about 2500 deaths a day, so we're still below that peak. we have seen over the last two weeks that hospitalizations have come down. the president has taken a very aggressive approach, not in the hotspots, but also in what we call the ember cities to push all of the different measures we can take, like wearing a mask, social distancing, using best practice. but the president has really advanced the use of a lot of therapeutics, which is bringing the faltlity rate down. the fastest vaccine ever to a face three trial was 13 monndside d itin fournths candidates entm point we'll get to the other end of this pandemic. in the meantime, all differe

i remember last year when i was in the capital of bahrain and saw jared kushner there with the crown of bahrain two years ago, the prime minister of israel was in oman. so an article engagement in terms of trying to normalize the ties. a lot of sudanese in israel. the prime minister made reference to the sudanese being a focus of this agreement. the two delegations from the u.s. and israel board to come to abu dhabi. it's the first commercial flight from ll to an arab gulf state. it will carry the number 971, the calling code for the uae, a symbolic gesture to the seven states that make up the federation. and to your point here, this seems to be a natural tie. they need to obviously formalize embassies and establish real tourism links here with the flights going forward because no commercial passengers on the flight, just delegations. and then the trade links. this is quite objects. you have uae sovereign wealth better than $1 trillion right now and the israeli technology companies, of course, are extremely strong, list on wall street and in london, and the two could make many sector
