jason: yes.l give you a bit of a long answer on this one because it is a fascinating unfolding of events over the last 2.5 years. going back to when i started in roughly march or april of 2017, there was an article in "the new york times" the spoke about something called the outside in approach. the writer made it seem essentially that it is very simple. the arab countries will gather around and force the palestinians to sign a deal. i read the article for a moment and thought this is great. i will be home with my family for passover. it is just not that simple. however, we think that remarkable progress has been made in 2.5 years with the gulf region and israel. we do not take credit for that alone. prime minister netanyahu has done a great job. the leaders themselves in the arab countries have done a remarkable job. the is done now is over table ranging from the prime minister's visit to oman, the israeli national anthem being sung in the uae, participation in high-level meetings, various forms

jason: no.nomy has been growing about potential faster than the sustainable rate of growth has beenecause the fed accommodated over the past several years. interest rates are higher here than many of the major economies, but that is because our economy is stronger, inflation rate has been higher, so you would expect interest rates to be higher as well. same time, as we have heard from chair powell, they are concerned about the future. a lot of uncertainty, global uncertainty, having to do with trade. i will put up a chart that shows where things are price right now. in july, one or two before the end of the year. is that responding appropriately to what you're seeing in the market in terms of data? jason: there are a lot of reasonable people calling for a even if two basis points at the next meeting. to me, i would rather see the fed be data dependent. even if two basis points at the next meeting. since the last meeting, the data has been really good. output has come in above expectations. infla

paul: yeah, it's fascinating, jason.rs have learned the lesson of the freedom caucus, right? >> right. paul: which is if you go outside and agitate, you gin up support on the left, the rachel maddows and the others on msnbc and social media, you can i put real pressure on the speaker to go your way. >> sure. and nancy pelosi knows that it is not the election of people like ocasio-cortez that gave democrats the house majority, and that's her dilemma. she would much rather focus on issues like health care which she thinks helped democrats win back control of the house. she has a bunch of members that come from swing districts, they want to go back home and run on something. and the problem is you have the ocasio-cortez wing of the party who wants to focus on impeachment and the mueller investigation and russia and trump's tax returns. they just want to investigate this administration, and that is why it's been such heavy lifting for nancy pelosi. >> you know the contrast, dan, between nancy pelosi in this iteration and whe
