jason carroll, live at the white house. >> reporter: good morning to you, chris. this is something that the white house simply wishes would go away. the white house having to deal with what seems like daily reports about this meeting donald trump jr. took in june of 2016. the most recent report shedding new light on what he knew before that meeting took place. another potential bombshell report from "the new york times." alleging that donald trump received an e-mail that the russian government was frying to help his father's campaign. before the june 2016 meeting with jared kushner and a russian lawyer thought to have compromising information about hillary clinton. three unnamed sources tell the times that the e-mail sent by rob goldstone, the man that coordinated the meeting, indicated the russian government was the source of the potential damaging information.

jason carroll has been working the phones.s a very important piece of information on whether or not this is deliberate. >> this according to two law enforcement sources, who tell cnn, brooke, this was an accident apparently the driver of that tax cab in question there confused the brake with the gas, and then plowed into the pedestrians there at that tax pool. this whole incident, just to recap, starten about 1:44, that's when the call initially came in that there was all of this activity going on there in east boston. apparently the taxicab driver once again, according to two law enforcement sources confusing the gas with the brake, and then plows in waiting at that taxi pool. we're getting word that ten people were injured during the incident. we're still trying to get confirmation of the extent. four people taken to tufts, the remaining two taken to mass general hospital. that was a crowded section there at the time. i was looking for a tweet that ran it about 1:20 p.m. and they had some 320 taxis waiting there at that part

jason carroll, any revelation to these allegations to the white house today? >> reporter: in terms of the most recent development, and there seems to be a development every other day with this, anderson, they're referring questions to the white house counci counsel. yesterday he said this was a short meeting, true. a meeting that anyone would have taken. well, there's been plenty of people who have come out and said this was a meeting he should not have taken and at the very least he should have reported the meeting to the fbi. internally this is a real problem for the white house and something that they're really struggling with. one white house official saying that they know at this point that donald trump jr.'s story has changed several times and they called it a, quote, that has been not good for the white house going forward. i was. >> trying to get in the last hour, jay sekulow was on, one of president trump's attorneys. he kept saying that the president wasn't at the meeting, didn't seem to really answer whether or not he knew whether there was -- were
