not only do i not believe that's true i don't believe that jason chaffetz believes it's true either. i think that whenever you have a congressman talking about the difference between congressional subpoenas and the legislative branch has its own mechanism to enforce their legislative prerogative, putting that on to the attorney general, as if it's the attorney general that's essentially thwarting their ability to get information i think what that does is it's wrong about how the process works but it confuses the american public about what is going on about who is responsible, who is accountable and how processes should be working. the narrative of people working against essentially republican interest, doesn't make sense because you have bipartisan groups of individuals who work within doj and worked with lots of different administrations, so i do have a strong reaction to things like this and i think there is a reasonable and important conversation to have about national security reform, transparency reform and all kinds of stuff but this to me exists pretty well outside the bounds
