we bring in jason chaffetz and leslie marshall.ll hopefully give us their sides of the story. how do you not question the president and his party heading into the midterm elections next year, considering what is happening with poll numbers? he seems to be doubling down on his massive spending cuts, despite the effects of ida that we are seeing in so many parts of the country. obviously the jobs numbers we saw were not good. what's at stake here? >> well, as you know, i am a member of that party, the democrats. when any president, when you look historically, whether it was a reagan, obama, clinton, and we can go back to republicans as well. the midterm elections, up, that's not usually helpful to the party in power. right now, the democrats are in power appeared in the house, the senate with a tiebreaker, certainly with the president. there are a handful, and that is all republicans need to take over the majority in the house. right-leaning district where the president is not pulling well below those national polling numbers. of cou
