jason chen returned to his home this morning and found raw sewage seeping into his garage, kitchen, andm. he called in crews to clean up the mess for the second time this week. >> it's been a nightmare after nightmare. i thought i was having deja vu. like, god, it's happening again. >> reporter: problems began saturday when officials say a contractor apparently left a cap off a line connected to the sewer main and rain was also a problem. residents say they have no idea when they'll be allowed to go home. >>> a gas explosion sent nine firefighters to the hospital in seattle. take a look at the damage. this is the scene from the air. a massive debris field. several businesses completely leveled. neighbors described what felt like an earthquake. abc news reporter neal karlinsky is there. >> reporter: the blast was so powerful, a nearby business's surveillance camera captured the shock wave. firefighters were here checking on reports of a gas leak were down. >> i need a full response. i have firefighters messing. >> reporter: nine firefighters were caught in the blast at this local market.

. >> reporter: that's a very frustrated jason chen showing us the cleanup a restoration had to do in his house for a second time this week after feces and other debris started pouring from his toilet overnight. he and at least one other homeowner are point their fingers at a company called sewer rat for this problem. that contractor has been replacing a sewer pipe connection for one of chen's neighbors. the city suspects during this job workers for that company allegedly left part of the sewer line improperly sealed. this weekend's rains were able to push base rocks into the sewer main. as a result, the main clogged, forcing raw sewage to back up into several homes for several hours on saturday. >> i'm very upset, but what i can't do anything now. just deal with it, fix it and then deal with it later. >> reporter: who do you blame? >> well, i think sewer rat -- sewer rat is all to blame. obviously the drain route is not supposed to be in the sewer line. >> this has been happening for almost five days and it's very emotional and nobody is helping us and i don't have a lawyer right now
