good evening, i'm jason johnson in for joy reid and we begin 24 hours perhaps after the biggest storythe american presidency, that for the first time in history the fbi conducted a search at the home of a former president, that of donald trump. we have learned a lot more about what went down in his mar-a-lago residence, but there are still a lot of up answered questions. a source familiar with the matter tells nbc news that the search was tied to classified information trump allegedly took with him when he left the white house. remember back in february the national archives asked the justice department to investigate if trump's handling of white house records violated federal law. it came a month after the archives retrieved 15 boxes of presidential records taken to mar-a-lago. nbc news that the fbi notified trump's secret service detail guarding the property in advance and presented their warrant from a judge permitting them to enter. white house officials tell nbc news they had no prior knowledge of the search and justice department officials are refusing to comment. trump was not
