jayne miller will have live reports on 11 news. a teacher's aide is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. kim dacey is live to explain. >> police say anthony farris had a sexual relationship with a 16- year-old girl. he was working as an inclusion helper, a form of a teacher's aide, and the 16-year-old was a student. it happened between september and december of last year. he was an assistant football coach at the high school. he faces charges of sex abuse of a minor and perverted practice. >> very upset. i don't know what you do but it's frustrating. >> school officials did send letters home about the arrest. a spokesperson said faris had been placed on administrative leave. he is no longer an employee of harford county public schools. he is the second school employee in the last couple weeks to be charged having sexual relationships with a student. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the student who admitted to open fire receives a life in prison sentence. a judge sentenced robert gladden jr. this happened of the fir

jayne miller is live in the newsroom with the details. >> the officer is williams got kern, 46 years old and a member of the police department since 1994. he is on medical suspension while his actions tuesday are under the microscope of a criminal investigation. according to sources, kern mistakenly grabbed the wrong weapon. he was supposed to be using a training weapon, instead he fired his service weapon and shot a trainee from the university of maryland police in the forehead. the trainee is in stable but critical condition at shock trauma. state police training officials today began an onsite audit of the city's training headquarters located in northwest baltimore. today was the first time the city used the rosewood facility. no live weapons should have been present. kern is a veteran police instructor, but we are told that a short time before the accident of shooting on tuesday, he mistakenly pulled his service weapon as well. jayne miller, wbal-tv 11 news. >> firefighters say smoke alarms were not working inside an apartment this morning when a mother and two children were inju
