that is where we find jean casarez live with more on the suspect and his victims. jean?'s right. we know the suspect in this case, 29-year-old sayfullo saipov is at bellevue hospital here in new york city after under going emergency surgery last night. he was shot by a new york police officer after exiting that truck, brandishing what appeared to be two weapons. he was shot in the abdomen. there were victims here that were not so lucky. he plowed into victims, eight people lost their lives yesterday afternoon here in new york city, as he drove down a busy bike path in downtown manhattan, mowing down people. eight people lost their lives, as i said. 11 people were injured. we know more about those victims. five of the victims that are now deceased were citizens of argentina and here celebrating their 30th high school reunion. one was a belgium national. we don't know the identities of the other victims or whether they are still in the hospital. we have associated this suspect with three different residencies, states he lived in at points in time here in the united states.

jean casarez is live with more on the suspect and victims. jean?rter: we know the note was found outside of the truck he was driving, pledging allegiance to isis, doing it in the name of isis. witnesses say, once he got out of the truck, he yelled akbar. we have cited the suspect in this case with three different states. he had identification in regard to florida. we know in 2013, he lived in ohio and married a woman in ohio cuyahoga falls, ohio. she was 19, he was 25. she is pakistan national. we know he came to the united states in 2010 and most recently, it is believed lived in new jersey, in the paterson area. yesterday, a short time before the attack, he rented a home depot, flatbed truck in new york city, drove to the city and at 3:05 p.m. began to drive southbound on the west highway here in new york city, plowing down bicyclists, pedestrians. eight people died, six instantly. we know five of them were citizens of argentina. they were here for a 30th high school reunion. one of those national. we do not know the identity of the other victims
