jean claude trichet. thank you for joining us on what's become a contentious issue. there's been a lot of push back in britain of people saying to president obama, hey, you know, we've got to figure this one out. but do you think president obama has a point? >> yes, of course i think he has a very important point. what he says is obvious. it would be a catastrophe for the uk to leave. it would be also very damaging for the strength of europe and stability of europe. but the main problem, of course, is the uk taking enormous risks, not only economially financially, historically. because if scotland takes advantage of the situation to restart a process from getting out, you would have to change the union jack. so, again, it's very very grave and very serious. >> mr. trichet, what is the feeling there in terms of the pr prospects? it seems the polls are leaning heavily against the idea of brexit. is there a feeling on the c continent this will not be break of the eu? >> we always considered on the continent it was unlikely the uk would leave. it was my personal intimate
