jeanette reyes is live outside of chester police with more of the details on this story. odgood morning, jeanette. >> reporter: good morning, tam. that man is now in the fight of his life after being shot multiple times in the chest while pumping gas. take a look at the video here of this scene. police arrived to find the driver's side door ajar and two gunshots in the front windshield there with the back window completely shattered. police say the barrage of gunshots began around midnight at the sunoco a plus at the intersection of edgemont avenue and east 22nd street in chester. that man who is in his 20's was that rushed to crozer-chester hospital. he's in very critical condition. investigators spoke with witnesses at the scene and we know they're checking surveillance cameras around the area to see if it captured any part of that shootout. no word this morning on a possible motive or a suspect but the investigation continues. we've made a few phone calls. we'll let you know as soon as we get an update. reporting in chester, jeanette reyes channel6 "action news." alicia

jeanette reyes is live on the scene on academy road near morell avenue. morning, jeanette. >> reporter: good morning, tam. that's right, three people were taken to the hospital, two residents, one firefighter. meanwhile here back at this scene dozens of residents are without a home this morning. take a live look here behind me. you can see firefighters are still on scene and i want to focus in on that second floor apartment. you can see the windows are broken in. that is where firefighters are saying this fire started. i want to go to video, though, from a viewer. you can see that blaze thickly growing. authorities say they got the call around 12:30 this morning about a fire at the canterbury court apartment complex on academy road near morell avenue in northeast philadelphia. firefighters arrived in about five minutes and the flames were already showing from a second floor unit and spreading quickly. the entire building was evacuated due to that fire and heavy smoke coming from it. it took about an hour to get the blaze completely under control. about 50
